James Hype presents SYNC at Bristol Beacon on 22 November 2025

Global DJ James Hype will bring his explosive SYNC show to Bristol this November - for a one-night-only, world-first charity concert where every ticket directly builds micro-homes for people experiencing homelessness.

Held at Bristol Beacon on Saturday 22 November 2025, BillyChip Live will be one of just two UK performances by James Hype this year. Pre-sale tickets go live Thursday 29 August exclusively for anyone signed up via James Hype’s socials. What promises to be bigger than his Ibiza show, tickets go on general sale Friday 29 August at 10:00am from £27.50 on the Bristol Beacon website

With the goal of creating three new micro-homes in Bristol, the initiative is being delivered in partnership with local charity Help Bristol’s Homeless. Each ticket sold will directly fund the construction of these homes.

“What if your rave built a home?” said James Hype. “I’m proud to support BillyChip Live - it’s an honour to headline a night that’s doing more than entertaining.”

The event is a new kind of concert series from the creators of BillyChip®, the award-winning platform reinventing how to support people experiencing homelessness. Originally launched in Bristol, BillyChip allows members of the public to purchase tokens in cafés and shops that can be given to rough sleepers, who can redeem them for food or drink.

Now, that same ethos is taking to the stage. BillyChip Live invites fans, artists and venues to ‘chip in’ - helping fund permanent homes, not just temporary fixes.

“This is a new blueprint for what live music can achieve,” said Jack Gascoigne, Director of Communications at BillyChip. “With James Hype on board, we’re proving that your night out can help someone get their life back.”

SYNC - the audio-visual experience at the heart of James Hype’s Hï Ibiza residency - is far from a traditional DJ set. Every beat and motion is synchronised with immersive visuals, turning the stage into a multi-sensory, full-body experience.

“SYNC is a declaration of what’s possible,” said James Hype. “I wanted to push the boundaries of DJing by blending technology with artistry.”

Bristol Beacon will transform into a 360-degree venue, surrounding Hype with fans on all sides for a fully immersive performance.

The event will take place nearly two years after Bristol Beacon reopened following a world-leading redevelopment of its performance spaces, led by architects Levitt Bernstein. The result is a venue that now ranks among the UK’s most sonically versatile - engineered to elevate everything from symphony orchestras to big-room bass.

“This night really demonstrates the versatility of our spaces - we have had DJs like Annie Mac and electronic producers like Max Cooper present large-scale sets and AV performances here, and just like this collaboration it pushes the boundaries of what a concert venue can do," said Todd Wills, Programme Director at Bristol Beacon. "As a charity, we are fundamentally committed to supporting community-focused initiatives and so the chance to partner with BillyChip and James Hype on this highly original concept is an exciting and important one."

Proceeds from the event will go to Help Bristol’s Homeless, a pioneering local charity converting shipping containers into safe, fully equipped micro-homes. Founder Jasper Thompson will feature in the wider campaign and in follow-up storytelling about the people whose lives are changed through the project.

“This is about hope, opportunity and community all rolled into one,” said Jasper Thompson. “These homes change lives. Thanks to BillyChip Live, we’ll be able to give more people a safe place to begin again.”

BillyChip has also recently entered into a new partnership with Big Issue, the leading street magazine and social enterprise supporting people who are homeless or vulnerably housed. Under the new partnership, Big Issue will accept BillyChips as payment for magazines. Vendors receiving the chips can then use them to purchase additional copies to sell, increasing their earning potential without needing to use their own cash.

Further acts and programming details will be announced soon.
