Bristol to host Incoming Festival for the first time from 26th-30th June 2019

The renowned Incoming Festival, an eclectic celebration of some of the most exciting emerging theatre companies in the UK, is coming to the Bristol for the first time this month, bringing a wide variety of shows to the Tobacco Factory Theatres from Wednesday 26th-Sunday 30th. Tickets are available now at a cost of just £5 per show - get yours now via the link below.

Now in its sixth year and having already hosted shows in Manchester and London, Incoming Festival is well-versed in introducing UK audiences to some of the most exciting and innovative theatre companies in the country. With a diverse range of shows and always-low ticket price (you can bag yourself a ticket for roughly the same price as a pint in 2019), the festival encourages you to take a chance on something new and discover the theatrical stars of the future.

Curated by festival directors Eleanor Turney, Jake Orr and David Byrne and a panel of theatre critics, the 2019 programme covers new writing, physical theatre, clowning, hard-hitting drama, devised work and gig theatre. All companies presented during Incoming define themselves as 'emerging', whether in regards to their performance work, their status as a company or position within the industry. To date, the festival has presented 78 companies to over 3000 audience members, and this year the organisers have partnered with HOME in Manchester and Bristol's own Tobacco Factory Theatres to triple the festival capacity.

At a time when theatre is often considered out of reach for a large portion of the public, and an exclusive art form in some cases, a full festival where every ticket is a fiver shouldn't be sniffed at. The chance to catch some of the most exciting new shows in the country all in one place doesn't come around very often, so Bristol theatre fans should absolutely be taking advantage of this one.
