A Trail with Silver Screen Swagger
It’s a celebration of storytelling, with every sculpture inspired by iconic films, literature, fables—and of course, the beloved Wallace & Gromit. This year, 53 large-scale, artist-decorated figures, ranging from Wallace and Gromit to Feathers McGraw and newcomers like Norbot, are scattered across Bristol and its surrounds.
The trail launches in style with a flurry of fanfare. A steam train, headed by Nick Park, delivered the first sculptures into Bristol — and let me tell you, the buzz along Harbourside is already electric.
What’s New & Noteworthy
• Norbot – the “smart gnome” from Vengeance Most Fowl
Making his debut at Bristol’s Freemasons’ Hall, Norbot blends engineering whimsy with cinematic flair.
• Big Friendly Wallace
Inspired by Roald Dahl’s The BFG, this gentle giant stands proud in Blagdon — a nod to Dahl’s timeless imagination.
• Feathers McGraw as Wednesday
Netflix’s Wednesday meets Aardman’s sly penguin — strutting his stuff at Temple Meads station, he’s a delightfully deadpan welcome to visitors.
• Paul McCartney’s “Yellow Submarine” Wallace
A whimsical cheers to the Beatles legend — this vibrant, aquatic-themed Wallace is painted by Emily Golden and officially part of the trail.
A Tapestry of Creativity & Charity
Sculptures have been crafted in collaboration with cinematic icons—from Pixar to Sir Paul McCartney, Richard Curtis to DreamWorks.
The trail honors Bristol's creative heritage while raising funds for The Grand Appeal, benefitting the Bristol Children’s Hospital.
Over a decade, previous trails have raised more than £20 million and featured over 500 sculptures; Gromit Unleashed 3 looks set to deepen that legacy.

It champions local artists, global storytellers, and charitable giving—all under the umbrella of beloved characters.
Bonus scenes expected: scenic oxford meets mystery of Cheddar, cinematic hijinks at Clifton Suspension Bridge, and Instagram gold at Aardman’s own HQ.
Gromit Unleashed 3 is more than an art trail—it’s Bristol’s summer blockbuster, blending art, community, cinema, and charity in one unforgettable experience. Whether you're a foodie, a culture vulture, or just after a fun day out, this trail is your ticket to discovering Bristol in all its vibrant, folk-film glory.
