Get the kids in the Christmas spirit with some free, festive workshops

Please note: the Elf Workshops take place every Saturday and Sunday at The Galleries. Workshops will be running from Saturday 7 December until Sunday 22 December 2019.

With only a few weeks left until Christmas, things are getting pretty busy at Santa’s workshop. So, the elves are in need of some help.

On Saturday 7 December, a dedicated team of Christmas elves will be moving into The Galleries shopping centre in Broadmead to kick off a series of Elf Workshops.

During a free-to-attend Elf Workshop, the little ones will be able to learn about what it takes to work with Father Christmas, through a range of fun and creative Christmas activities.

The Galleries in Broadmead

Starting on Saturday 7 December and running every weekend until Sunday 22 December, you’ll be able to find Father Christmas’ elves at The Galleries between 11:00 and 16:00.

Each weekend, the elves will have a different activity for the kids to get involved with, including bauble-painting and reindeer food-making.

On arrival, every child will be given an elf hat and badge complete with their own elf name, and will get the chance to participate in one of many fun and festive activities.

They’ll be an Elf Yourself-style photo wall, mince pies and the opportunity for the little ones to design their own Christmas biscuit, too.

A great way to get the kids on board with a spot of Christmas shopping, these free-to-attend workshops are a no-brainer for anyone braving some seasonal shopping.

A limited number of sessions will be available to be pre-booked via The Galleries website, so head over to www.galleriesbristol.co.uk to book a slot. There will also be pre-bookable Quiet sessions, too.

After getting stuck in with some elf-themed fun, why not visit The Galleries’ Bristol Etsy Team x Bristol Girl Boss winter pop-up shop?

Featuring the work of 80 local artists, the pop-up is a chance for Bristol shoppers to discover handmade Christmas gifts, designed and handmade by the city's creatives.
