A Return of a 90s Pop Powerhouse
Formed in 1992, East 17 quickly became one of Britain’s most successful boy bands of the decade. Named after the Walthamstow postcode E17, the group carved out a distinctive identity by blending pop melodies with hip-hop and R&B influences, giving them a slightly edgier sound compared with many of their contemporaries.
During their chart-dominating years, the band scored 18 UK Top 20 singles and four Top 10 albums, producing a string of memorable hits including House of Love, Steam and the enduring festive classic Stay Another Day. The latter became one of the group’s biggest successes, spending five weeks at number one and securing the UK Christmas number one spot in 1994.
Although the lineup has evolved over the years, the group continues to tour and perform their classic catalogue. The current incarnation features original member Terry Coldwell alongside Robbie Craig and Joe Livermore, delivering the band’s signature mix of pop hooks and dance-floor energy to audiences across the country.
The Bristol Show
The Bristol stop of the tour will take place at the well-known O2 Academy Bristol, one of the city’s most popular mid-sized music venues. Doors are expected to open at 7:00 pm, setting the stage for an evening packed with sing-along classics and high-energy performances.
Joining East 17 on the bill will be Blazin' Squad, the early-2000s group who scored major chart success with songs like Crossroads and Flip Reverse. Their appearance adds another nostalgic layer to the tour, bringing together two generations of British pop and urban chart hits.
A Night of Throwback Anthems
The “Boys Are Back Again” tour is designed as a celebration of the golden era of UK pop groups and boy bands. Fans attending the Bristol show can expect a setlist filled with familiar favourites, upbeat choreography and the kind of crowd-wide sing-alongs that defined 1990s pop concerts.
For many concertgoers, the night will feel like stepping into a musical time capsule, revisiting the soundtrack of school discos, chart countdowns and early MTV memories. For younger fans discovering the music for the first time, it offers a chance to experience the energy of one of Britain’s most recognisable pop acts live on stage.
A Celebration of British Pop
With decades of chart success behind them, East 17 continue to prove that the appeal of 90s pop remains strong. Their Bristol performance on 20 November 2026 promises a lively evening filled with nostalgia, big choruses and a reminder of why the group became one of the defining boy bands of their era.
