Bristol Rovers v Fleetwood Town on 25 January 2020

Bristol Rovers v Fleetwood Town on Saturday 25th January 2020, kick off at 3pm at The Memorial Stadium on Filton Avenue, BS7 0BF.

Four points from six last season with a 2-1 home win for Rovers in December 2018 followed by a goalless draw away in April 2019. The goals in the home win came from Gavin Reilly who made it 1-1 after Fleetwood's Ashley Hunter had put them ahead. Ched Evans for the opposition was sent off in the 52nd minute but it took until the 94th for James Clarke to snatch the winner. Expect another feisty affair as there were 11 yellow cards and a red last time!

Bristol Rovers are in their third consecutive season in League One, with a first taste of life in the third tier of English football laying the foundation for the Pirates to make a concerted bid to join arch-rivals Bristol City in the Championship.

Ticket prices range from £19 to £25 with concessions for children, those under 21 and if you purchase tickets online.

Nicknamed The Pirates, Bristol Rovers Football Club were established in 1883 and currently play in The Sky Bet Football League One, the third tier of English football.

The club plays its home matches at the 12,300 capacity Memorial Stadium, in the Horfield area of Bristol. Having been bought by billionaire Jordanian Waed al-Qadi and his family in 2016, it's hoped that the club will start be challenging for promotion to the Championship before long.

Rovers have played in the English football league since 1920, with their best ever finish being in both 1956 and 1959 when they secured sixth place in the second tier of English football, then known as Division Two. Having suffered relegation to League Two in 2011 and then into the Conference in 2014, they managed to bounce straight back with two consecutive promotions in 2014/15 and 2015/16 to regain their League One status in 2016/17, where they've remained ever since.

The club honours include the 1990 Football League Third Division title when they finished 2 points ahead of arch-rivals and that seasons Runners-Up Bristol City.
