It’s back! Here’s everything you need to know

The Bristol Harbour Festival - one of our favourite festivals – is back for its 47th year! We can’t quite believe it, either. Experience the fun, dance, food and more between 19 to 21 July. Let’s dive in.

Spanning sites from Bristol’s Welshback to the SS Great Britain, the Festival is gearing up to wow some 250,000 visitors. With a packed-out schedule across the weekend, we thought to tell you about some of the event’s main highlights. Click here to see the event's website.

The Festival is set to kick off at 4 pm on Friday 19 July, and at 11 am on Saturday and Sunday morning.

So much sound!

In previous years, the Festival has welcomed music from across the genres. This year will be no different. Whether it be local artists or sound from further afield, the very best acts will be hitting up venues such as Thekla to bring some auditory vibrancy to this year’s Festival.

Family Fun

The Harbour Festival is a family affair. This year, the team will be transforming Queens Square with Cirque Bijou, a collective of Bristol-based showmakers who combine contemporary circus and street theatre in their work. In short: the Square is going to be a Circus Playground!

Food, glorious food.

What is a festival without food? Expect the best vendors from across the city to feed your appetite across the weekend.

And so much more!

Expect lots of water-based excitement, including the visitation of some new vessels, boat displays and races to truly celebrate the city’s rich maritime history. Let’s not forget; the Festival will play host to spoken word and dance arenas, too!
