City welcome The Hornets to Ashton Gate on Saturday 20 January
City will be aiming to continue their encouraging away form with a second win against Valerin Ismael's Watford side in the space of one month. The away leg, which took place in December, ended 4-1 to The Robins with goals from Pring, Hoedt (own goal), Sykes and Weimann - with Chakvetadze scoring for the home side.
The Hornets have had a mixed start to the season and currently sit in mid-table, not far from Mannings' Reds. Top performers this season include ex-Southampton defender Wesley Hoedt, talented winger Ken Sema and top-scoring new arrival, Mileta Rajovic - signed from Sweden's Kalmar FF.
Manager Valerien Ismael plied his early coaching career in Germany, Greece and Austria before crossing into English football with Barnsley, taking them to the Championship playoffs; he has since managed West Brom and Besiktas before taking over at Vicarage Road in May 2023.
