City take on The Blades in BS£
City welcome newly relegated Sheffield United to Ashton Gate with Chris Wilder's Blades side having started the season strongly after a summer of strong Championship signings including Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, Michael Cooper, Kieffer Moore and Callum O'Hare.
The Robins lost both of their last two fixtures against The Blades, losing 1-0 at home in November 2022 through a goal from Iliman Ndiaye (George Tanner was sent off in that game) and to the same scoreline at Bramall Lane in April last year - James McAtee scoring.
History of Bristol City:
Established in 1894, Bristol City FC have a storied history in English football. The club, based in South Bristol, achieved prominence in the early 20th century, earning promotion to the top flight in 1906 and reaching the FA Cup final in 1909. In the 1980s, Bristol City faced financial challenges but rebounded, and are now a well-established second division side.
