Bristol Bears take on Newcastle Falcons at Ashton Gate Stadium on New Years Day
New Years Day rugby as Bristol Bears welcome Newcastle Falcons to Ashton Gate Stadium for a Gallagher Premiership fixture, kicking off at 19:45 on Friday 1st January 2021. The last time the visitors travelled to Ashton Gate, fans were treated to a thriller as Bristol Bears ran out 35-28 winners back in 2018.
Pat Lam’s men will be looking to get a win against a newly promoted Newcastle Falcons side who are currently undefeated in their first three games this season.
About Bristol Bears
Following a disappointing relegation to the Greene King Championship in the 2016/17 season, Bristol Rugby shone in the following campaign, securing their return to rugby's top division at the first time of asking.
Rebranded as the Bristol Bears and playing at a refurbished Ashton Gate Stadium, the side endured an up-and-down first season back in the top flight, finishing ninth before a fantastic 3rd place finish in the delayed 2019/20 season before succumbing to Wasps in the play offs semi final. The team will be looking to go at least one stage further in 2020/21 Gallagher Premiership and also look to reach the latter stages of the Heineken Champions Cup.
The Bears are pushing on under the stewardship of Head Coach Pat Lam, however, winning their first-ever European Challenge Cup at the tail end of the 2019/20 season.

Bristol Bears 2020/21 Season Cards have officially gone on general sale, with a limited number of seats available for the upcoming Gallagher Premiership season.
Due to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus crisis, and a lack of clarity regarding attendance allowances, the club have taken the decision to release a limited batch of 7,000 Season Cards initially.
