Unlock your kids' creative potential with a Summer drama workshop!
Following the success of their Tangled Fairytales earlier this year, Bristol Academy of Drama is proud to present their Twisted Fairytales workshop - a class for 12-16-year-olds to devise, rehearse and perform a play under the guidance of the Academy's experienced Drama Facilitators! The workshop will run from Wednesday 15th-Friday 17th August 2018, with tickets available now.
Throughout the duration of the workshop, the group will create from scratch a play on the theme of "Twisted Fairytales". They will get the chance to make new friends, develop characters and discuss and devise scenes to build their play for a performance on the final afternoon to friends and family members.
The whole process, carefully put together by the team at Bristol Academy of Drama, is designed to develop and encourage creative thinking, drama and improvisation skills as well as build confidence and teamwork.
Students of the Creating Performance workshop will have the opportunity to let their imaginations run wild, interpreting a chosen fairytale classic in whichever way they choose to. They could decide to go down a darker route and explore the world of Grimm, pick a lighter story to adapt, or even completely rewrite the ending to a popular story. The possibilities are endless!
