Central School of Ballet's renowned graduate performing company Ballet Central's annual nationwide tour stops at Bristol’s Redgrave Theatre on Saturday 16th July 2016 and tickets are on sale now.

 

Appearing in 15 towns and cities nationwide across a five month period, the 2016 tour features a varied programme of ballet, neoclassical, contemporary and narrative dance in a celebration of creative dance and performance. Ballet Central is the touring company of the leading centre for professional dance training and education, Central School of Ballet which is based in London. Students on the final year of their three-year BA (Hons) degree course join Ballet Central to gain invaluable touring experience before graduation. 

 

This family-friendly show is ideal for dance enthusiasts as well as those new to ballet. Don’t miss this  as they launch their professional careers.

The tour sees a re-working of War Letters by Christopher Marney (Matthew Bourne's New Adventures), Superstruct by Sara Matthews (Director, Central School of Ballet), Ascent by Mikaela Polley (Rambert), and Repetition of Change by Sharon Watson (Artistic Director, Phoenix Dance Theatre). The tour features the duet Insinuare by Leanne King, which was performed in the Category Finals of BBC Young Dancer 2015, and will also see La Belle Époque by Richard Bermange (Ballet Ireland) who is currently completing Central’s MA Choreography. Classical ballet fans will relish Celebration by company founder Christopher Gable CBE and Pas de Trois from Paquita staged by Carole Gable. They will also enjoy Élan Vital choreographed by Linda Moran.
