The cancer charity in Bristol changing people's lives.
Penny Brohn is one of the forefront charities when it comes to helping people deal with cancer. The Bristol-based organisation has been running since 1979 and has been helping people come to terms with cancer through care and understanding. They have raised so much money to help those come to terms with their illness and have changed so many people's lives.
Being diagnosed with cancer can challenge every aspect of life, turning everything you know upside down. Through their services, they’ve helped thousands of people discover how to live rich and full lives with cancer and to take back control of their health.
They run a range of courses, groups and individual therapies designed to help anybody affected feel better and live better with cancer, its treatments and side effects. They couldn’t continue this amazing work without their hard-working fundraising teams and the support of all the good people of Bristol town and further.
As a charitable organisation they will always guarantee that:
Not to pressure you to give more than you feel comfortable with
You’ll always know where your donation goes
We’ll keep your personal details secure and allow you to tell us how to use them
You can choose how we contact you and change this at anytime
We’ll listen if you have a problem and we’ll put it right if we can
To support your fundraising efforts
To let you know what a difference you’ve made
Whether it’s learning about healthy food, coping with treatment side effects, or getting to grips with the emotional impact of cancer, they can help you find what you need right now. They are located on the outskirts of Bristol at Chapel Pill Lane, Pill, Bristol, BS20 0HH, in a beautiful Grade II listed building.
Everything they do is based on evidence. Both our own rigorous service evaluation and over 35 years’ experience of working with thousands of people living with cancer. Their Bristol Whole Life Approach is underpinned by science and the most recent research into the impact of lifestyle, for people living with cancer.
They make sure they keep up-to-date with the latest research findings. Our Healthy Eating Guidelines, for example, are informed by the latest research relating to nutrition and cancer, including the landmark World Cancer Research Fund report.
