New Sri Lankan & Tamil restaurant in the heart of Stokes Croft, Bristol.
Nadu brings the warmth, colour and heritage of Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu to the heart of Bristol, offering guests an immersive journey into the flavours and stories that shaped owners Raja and Saravanan. Rooted in their Tamil heritage, the restaurant celebrates the mythology, history and vibrant culture of the region, blending influences from Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu—the southernmost state of India, known for its deep historical and spiritual connections. Every detail of the space and menu has been crafted with this cultural richness in mind.
Head Chef Saravanan Nambirajan, who has honed his craft in Michelin-starred kitchens around the world, infuses each dish with creativity, precision and a deep respect for tradition. His culinary expertise is matched by Raja’s natural gift for hospitality. Growing up in Tamil Nadu and drawing on years of experience from previous ventures, Raja has helped shape an atmosphere that feels both welcoming and unmistakably authentic.

Together, their shared vision creates the unique spirit of Nadu. Whether guests join for cocktails with friends or a celebratory feast, the restaurant offers a lively, soulful experience that brings people together.
