Mowgli was born to "feed the raw need Indians have for tiffins full of fresh bright intense flavour". Their food is about the smash and grab zing of healthy, light, virtuosic herbs, and spices.

Transporting you to the exotic Indian street food markets of Varanasi, Mowgli Bristol is set inside an elegantly high-ceilinged building on Corn Street. Showcasing all of Mowgli’s iconic hanging vines, trees and lights, this grand ancient space mirrors an Indian bygone era whilst offering you the fresh, light zing of Mowgli’s firm classics. Bring all your family and friends, for a curry and a chaat.

Born in Ormskirk, Lancashire, the daughter of Indian immigrant doctors, Nisha Katona is the founder, CEO, executive and development chef of Mowgli Street Food restaurants. Working tirelessly as a Child Protection Barrister for 20 years, she gave it all up in 2014 to build Mowgli.

Her obsession with taking her ancestral offerings to the market and building an eatery serving the kind of food Indians eat at home and on their streets, led her to her first restaurant. Her first Mowgli was born in the hinterlands of Liverpool’s Bold Street, and she opened Manchester less than a year later. Passionate about growth, she builds Mowgli simply to enrich lives in the cities we go to, by creating jobs in a nourishing workplace, giving back to our communities through charitable giving and spreading the love of an Indian home kitchen.
