The Lido is open seven days a week and swimming is available all year round in the lovingly restored and modernised pool. Other facilities include an outdoor hot tub, massage and relaxation spa, sauna, poolside restaurant and separate poolside bar plus both indoor and outdoor showers.
The outdoor pool measures 24 metres in length and is 1.2 metres deep. The water is heated to a refreshing warmth and carefully maintained so that only a low chlorine level is present. Swimmers are asked to take a pre-swim purifying body wash to help keep the water clean and chemically free. After swimming a cleansing body wash with Rose Geranium is offered and this will also moisturise the skin.
Spa sessions can be booked as either a single treatment or a whole spa day which includes use of the outdoor pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. Couples treatments are also offered enabling clients to relax with their partner or a friend.
Therapies available at Lido include massages to relieve back, neck, shoulder and facial muscle tension. Exfoliation and dry body oil treatments to remove excess tissue fluid, dead or dry skin, breakdown cellulite and improve muscle tone. Facials which will open the muscles of the face to receive nutrients and oxygen. Lomi lomi which is a deep massage originating from Hawaii which removes aches and pain. Head to toe hot stone massage which also uses soothing essential oils. Pregnancy massage specially designed to relax Mother ad child and where the position and method are modified to fit the current term of the pregnancy. Massages for couples visiting together in a room designed for this purpose. Foot, hand and head massage for relief from stress, anxiety and depression.
The old viewing gallery of the pool has been refurbished as a restaurant with many of the original Victorian architecture retained to lend the room a classic look and feel. This allows expansive views of the pool whilst dining on meals that are expertly prepared in a traditional wood oven.
There is also a bar alongside the pool with both indoor and outdoor seating for those swimming or just relaxing poolside.
