A large green space in Bristol city centre
Castle Park is a large green space in Bristol City Centre which is popular with workers, shoppers and families.
The park is situated between the Harbourside and the Broadmead and Cabot Circus shopping areas. There is nearby car parking at The Galleries shopping centre.
The remains of Bristol Castle including the keep, walls and vaults can still be seen from the park which is also home to the ruins of St. Peters Church. The park also houses a bandstand, a sensory and herb garden plus seven silver birch trees that were planted in memory of the seven beaches of the D-Day landings and are managed by Bristol’s D-Day veterans.
The park hosts a number of public events and festivals in the summer months.
