Back in 2018 for its second edition, the Western Boat Show is a must-see for any and all boating enthusiasts in and around the Bristol area. The show will this year be running alongside the popular Harbour Festival from Friday 20th-Sunday 22nd July, and what's more, entry is absolutely FREE!

Last year's Western Boat Show was a hit with Harbour Festival visitors.

Following on from the success of the 2017 show, this year's event will feature a vastly improved lineup of boats and exhibitors. Part of the famous Bristol Harbour Festival, it will display a range of new and used boats for offshore and inland use to suit every boating budget - from collapsible dinghies to canal boats, all the way through to large motor boats. Of course there will also be a great range of equipment on show, from engines to deck shoes.

This year's vehicle roster includes a Jeanneau Leader 36, Merry Fisher 695, Merry Fisher Marlin 795, Glastron GT225, Character Post Boat, Zodiac Seasport 400, BRIG ribs, Warrior 175 Export, Explorer Boats, Arborhouse Canal Boat and a large selection of second-hand boats from Channel Yacht Sales. The Western Boat Show will cover every aspect of the leisure marine industry from boat builders, canoes, paddle boards, sail makers, marinas, holidays, chandlers, watersports and engine manufacturers to marine finance, clothing specialists and navigation equipment.

Among the list of exhibitors due to set up at this year's show are Bamboo, Boatshed Bristol, Charles Taylor, Crown Oak, Deck Shoes Unlimited, Flint & Flame, Ikiru, Moor2Sea, National Coastwatch, Penarth Covers, Pieroth, Portishead Quays Marina, Sandbank SUP Style, SD Marine, Seahopper, Shawbury Wine and Ullman Sails.

“We’re delighted to be making the boat show free to visitors and enabling the boats on the pontoons to be accessible to everyone as part of Bristol's biggest free event. Its fantastic to be part of one of the UK’s biggest festivals and after running for 47 years the Bristol Harbour Festival really know how to showcase Bristol and put a great event on."

Richard Milbourn, Event Director of the Western Boat Show

As well as enjoying the Boat Show, visitors can, of course, make the most of the fantastic Harbour Festival, a rich and diverse platform for Bristol's huge wealth of creativity. The Festival will see a great range of art and acts, including live music, dance performances, circus acts, interactive theatre and much more. There will, of course, be a top selection of food stalls and markets to satisfy even the most demanding hunger on the day.

Whether you're an enthusiast, in the market for a boat or just have a passing interest, make sure you register for your free ticket to the Western Boat Show 2018 and come along.
