Swedish pop singer Tove Styrke to play The Fleece in Bristol as part of first-ever UK headline tourPosted on: 27 Jun 2018
Fresh off the release of her latest album, titled Sway, upcoming Swedish pop sensation Tove Styrke has announced her first-ever UK headline tour for 2018, with a five-show run that includes a show at The Fleece on Sunday 28th October. Tickets for Tove Styrke live are on sale at 9am on Friday 29th June and can be found via the link below.
Tove's tour announcement comes just two weeks after her most recent sell-out show at The Borderline in London. Revealing the news personally, she said "it feels like such a rush to announce that not only will I be back playing in London (Heaven) again, but also a few other cities around the UK. It’s been 3 years since I was supporting Years & Years in the UK where I had such an amazing time and finally I get to see you guys again!"
Having started out her solo career following an appearance on the 2009 series of 'Swedish Idol', Tove Styrke wasted no time in releasing her self-titled first album in 2010. From there, the electropop singer-songwriter has received widespread critical acclaim for both her live performances and her next two albums, Kiddo in 2015 and the recent release, Sway.
The latter has been Styrke's most well-received project to date, with GQ Magazine commenting that "you put out an eight-song album and every song had better kill. Sway does just that", Pitchfork labelling it "one of the most exuberant albums in recent memory", and Rolling Stone describing it as "the sound of someone who knows she's worth our time".
As well as her opening show at The Fleece on 28th October, Tove Styrke will go on to perform live in Manchester, Brighton, Birmingham and London as part of her headline tour. Previous live runs include joining popular New Zealand artist Lorde on her Spring 2018 US tour, and supporting Katy Perryu on her recent European tour.
Tickets for Tove Styrke live at The Fleece, Bristol go on sale at 9am on Friday 29th June 2018 and can be found here. For more information on Tove Styrke or to follow ticket/tour updates, check out her Facebook page.
