Open Mic Night at The Golden Guinea Sunday 3rd JunePosted on: 31 May 2018
What the Folk! host their monthly music night at The Golden Guinea with open mic slots from 9pm.
Playing folky tunes, songs and shanties, they play on a range of instruments including guitars, mandolins, violins, banjo and flute.
Proudly proclaiming itself to be 'Bristol's best backstreet boozer' - a description that's hard to contest - The Golden Guinea underwent an extensive refurb in 2010 and is now one of the city's best-loved drinking establishments.
Tucked away from the nearby picturesque waterside in Redcliffe, it's a cosy, unpretentious and frequently buzzing boozer with wooden floors and plenty of cool urban art adorning the walls. A range of events take place on most nights of the week and there's a free-of-charge function room with a door decorated by none other than the legendary, local graffiti and street artist, Cheo.
Regular events at The Golden Guinea include a Folk Music Jam every Monday and an Open Mic Night once a month so you can guarantee there will be something going on to keep you entertained, whether you're a punter or a performer.
