18th May: Pizzatramp / Kearney's Jig / Drunken Ramblings / Half-Wits
Join The Crown’s crowd for this jam-packed punk-rock showcase – with a donation if you can spare one. The lineup includes hardcore punk band Half-Wits, who have scored big lineup slots since forming in 2010. Support comes from London band Pizza Tramp with their melodic-street punk. Free entry.
25th May: BPF / Stolen Body Records: Captain Suun E.P Release
Bristol Psych Fest and Stolen Body Records are launching garage-psych band Captain Suun's brand new E.P - Beach Burrito – at the end of the month. Having formed under two years ago, the fuzz-infused band have already secured a deal, toured cities, and supported notable dark psych band The Wytches earlier this year. Captain Suun is a band to watch. Tickets £3 advance.
26th May: Tyranny
The Bank Holiday weekend sees the return of Bristol’s monthly Goth and Industrial night at The Crown. Expect dingy: heavy noise, darkwave, and pounding, gloomy sounds in this II Grade-listed setting. £4 entry. £3 for students with valid ID.
2nd June: Three Months to Kill / Poison Crow / Erase The Rat / Hierarchy
The Crown is kicking off June with another varied selection of both home-bred and national punk. While Bristol-based duo Hierarchy brings bluesy punk, Poison Crow will deliver goth. Join The Trap’s crowd for a lesson in this beloved genre.
31st July: Aerial Salad + Raging Nathans and more…
July’s end brings punk bands from across the land to The Trap. Mancunian punk rock ‘sad boys’ Aerial Salad are joined by American punk trio The Raging Nathans in this stellar lineup. £5 OTD.
