Simplyhealth Great Bristol 10K on Sunday 13th May 2018Posted on: 10 May 2018
Combine getting fit with some of the city's most picturesque backdrops this weekend when the Simply Great Bristol 10K takes place on Sunday 13th May 2018.
Recognised as one of the UK's biggest and most popular 10ks, the run will kick off on Anchor Road (near Millennium Square) and wind its way to the beautiful and historic Bristol Harbour before deviating along Avon Gorge and Brunel's iconic structural marvel, Clifton Suspension Bridge.
Spike Island and the Cumberland Basin will be the next destinations on your jogging journey before passing the majestic, Gothic glory of St Mary Redcliffe and finishing back where you started on Anchor Road.
A wonderful way to join in one of the top keep fit running events of the year (and, naturally, take advantage of all the superb bars and restaurants dotted along the Harbourside afterwards), the event is suitable for people aged 15 years and over.
Entry is £30 per person and you can get training and preparation advice, other events info and reserve your place online here.
The Simplyhealth Great Bristol 10K starts on Anchor Road, Millennium Square, Bristol, BS1 5DB and there will be road restrictions in place until approximately 3pm so avoid driving in the direction of Harbourside, Hotwells Road and The Portway!

He loves the music of Philip Glass, the art of Salvador Dali, the writings of Charles Bukowksi and Hunter S Thompson, the irreverence of Harry Hill, and the timeless, straw-chomping exuberance of The Wurzels. You can sometimes find him railing against a surging tide of passing cyclists, or gorging himself senseless on the Oriental delights of a Cosmos all-you-can-eat buffet.
