David Walliams' Awful Auntie to arrive in Bristol for ten shows at the Hippodrome in May 2018Posted on: 10 Jan 2018
Following the great success of Gangsta' Granny, David Walliams' second foray into theatre is underway with Awful Auntie, set for ten performances at Bristol's Hippodrome from Tuesday 1st-Sunday 6th May 2018. From the same award-winning producers behind Gangsta' Granny, book your tickets now for an unmissable combination of frights, fights and friendship!
The story follows Stella, a young girl who sets off to visit London with her parents, with no idea that her life is in grave danger! Waking up three months later with only her Aunt Alberta to tell her what’s happened, Stella quickly discovers that not everything her Aunt has told her is true, and finds herself in the fight of her life against her very own awful auntie!
Starring Georgina Leonidas as Stella and Timothy Speyer as her awful Aunt Alberta, audiences can expect a fantastic set, bundles of laughs and a stellar plot put together by some of the UK’s best in the Birmingham Stage Company.
Speaking on the production, creator David Walliams said “the BSC’s Gangsta Granny is truly brilliant, so I’m hugely excited now they’ve brought awful auntie to the stage in this fantastic production. I loved the show and can’t wait for you to see it!”
