2018 Rainbow Run at Blaise Castle for Children's Hospice South West

One of Bristol's biggest and brightest events returns this summer but at a brand new venue. For the first time since Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) brought the Rainbow Run to the UK, it’s moved venue for 2018 and will be in the beautiful surroundings of Blaise Castle. This, the 7th Bristol Rainbow Run and the charity’s flagship event, will take place on Saturday 2nd June 2018.
Anyone aged 5 and over can take part in what is the happiest and most vibrant way to support CHSW’s local children’s hospice, Charlton Farm. Feel free to run, walk or jog through colourful explosions of paint with your friends, family or colleagues and raise sponsorship to continue the work CHSW does to help make wonderful memories for families whose children have life-threatening or life-limiting conditions. The charity provides care for the whole family, including short breaks, a dedicated sibling team and one to one care.
Hollie Thorogood, events fundraiser at CHSW said:
“It costs around £3 million to run Charlton Farm and your ‘Pot of Gold’ sponsorship will help to bring smiles and happiness to our hospices. Plus as a thank you for your hard work, we'll be giving prizes for the largest Pot of Gold sponsorship raised!”
Previous years have seen thousands of people take part in this enjoyable fun run and in 2017 participants raised over £79,000 in sponsorship that went directly to Charlton Farm, supporting families from Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath, West Wiltshire, and Somerset.
