Ultimate 40 A Tribute To UB40 at The Fleece on Friday 29 December 2017Posted on: 28 Dec 2017
Tribute band Ultimate 40 will pay true musical homage to their heroes UB40 for an evening of classic songs at Bristol's legendary venue The Fleece on Friday 29 December 2017.
Hailing from Birmingham - where, appropriately enough, UB40 first formed in 1978 - Ultimate 40 is made up of 6 epically talented musicians who have cut their performing chops playing alongside the likes of Musical Youth, Maxi Priest, Aswad, Ken Boothe and The Beat, as well as UB40's main man himself, Ali Campbell.
Covering the hits of the original reggae and pop band but infusing them with their own individual spin, expect the night to flow with the sound of endless tuneage such as I Got You Babe, Higher Ground, Red Red Wine, Falling In Love With You, Groovin' and a multitude of other classics.
Loaded with talent and brimming with an infectious enthusiasm for the band and material, they actively encourage plenty of audience participation and sing-a-long fun, and it's easy to see why they're revered as one of the most accomplished and finest UB40 tribute bands in the the world.
Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £13 (plus booking fee) and can be purchased here.
The Fleece is located at 12 St Thomas St, Bristol BS1 6JJ
