Steam are still hosting a Harry Potter themed New Year's Eve Party this year - but don't tell Warner Brothers

Posted on: 14 Dec 2017

This is a fresh call to all Witches and Wizards, Muggles and Werewolves of Bristol: Steam in Clifton are still hosting a Harry Potter Themed New Year’s Eve Party this year, only they've had to slightly rethink the name.

Steam in Bristol

Originally billed as a Harry Potter themed New Year's celebration, Steam were recently contacted by Warner Brothers with a minor gripe about copyright infringement. After a quick update on the Facebook page, we're now very pleased to invite you to Steam Bristol's Wizarding-themed New Year's celebration!

The party, now with the added incentive of being explicitly free from copyright infringement, will run from 8pm 'till late on the 31st December. Get your finest robes, wands and imitation-brand Nimbus 1000 at the ready, with big prizes up for grabs for the best costumes. Attendees can also expect a free cocktail and pizza on arrival, live music and DJs, a photo booth and much more!

There is a competition running on the Wizarding Themed Celebration's Facebook event. Tag your 3 friends on the wall for the chance to win:

4x Free Tickets, 2x Bottles of Prosecco PLUS a £50 Bar tab.

Tickets range from £5-£10 and can be bought here.

Steam is located next to Clifton Down railway station BS8 2QG - A terrific pub with great food, sport and even a secret whisky bar named Shebeen!
