The SimplyHealth Great Bristol 10k is back for its second year after a successful run in 2017

A record 13,000 runners took to the streets for last year's events, raising money for hundreds of charities, local and national. SimplyHealth hope that 2018's run can beat that record, as they encourage runners to sign up now. There's no criteria - the Great Bristol 10k can be run by beginners as well as club runners, with a relatively flat route despite Bristol's hilly landscape. Entry costs £30 per person, and is open to anyone aged 15 and over.

Starting on Anchor Road near the Millennium Square and Bristol Cathedral, the course runs parallel to the historic Bristol harbourside before continuing along Avon Gorge and taking in the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge. On the return leg, runners will pass Spike Island and the Cumberland Basin before passing the vastly impressive St Mary Redcliffe, finishing back on Anchor Road. As well as being one of the UK's most picturesque 10k runs, a relatively flat route means that if you're looking to beat your personal best this is the one for you!

SimplyHealth is a nationwide organisation geared towards improving lives through good health. They provide over 3 million people every year with access to everyday health products, services and support, all at an affordable price. Their Great Run initiative has seen runs set up across the UK, including 10k runs, half-marathons and marathons.

Sign-ups for the Great Bristol 10k are open now and can be found here. For more information on SimplyHealth, or any of their runs across the UK, visit their website here.
