Downs Festival After Party at Flipside Cocktail Club on Whiteladies Road

Posted on: 01 Sep 2017

Those smooth-operating, cocktail-making maestros of Flipside Cocktail Club will be launching their fabulous new Bacardi Garden as The Downs Festival takes place just a stone's throw away this Saturday 2nd September 2017 - and you can carry on celebrating and drinking well into the night with their post-festival party too.

The Downs Festival - Head to Flipside Cocktail Club, 109 Whiteladies Road, BS8 2PB, for the After Party

Whether you're partial to a sip or six of coolers, flips or sours, the venue's expert cocktail-concocting legends will be working their drink-mixing magic throughout the day. And in a brilliant twist that utterly redefines the concept of an actual happy hour, theirs will, in fact, last all day until the wee early hours of 2am.

Folks who already have tickets for The Downs Festival will get a free shot if you purchase a drink, so it's the perfect excuse (not that you really need one, of course) to pop in en route, have a mosey around their great new garden, enjoy the myriad performers, activities and events taking place at the festival itself, then head back to Flipside Cocktail Club to claim your free beverage.

Plenty of music and vinyl will be spinning courtesy of DJ Izaak Levi, who will be pumping out the tunes and grooves from 8pm until late, giving you the chance to take advantage of the night's sensational Bacardi drinks deals (and possibly a summer-friendly Pimms as well), all set against a brilliant musical backdrop.

The Downs Festival itself was a massive success after last year's inaugural event and this year is set to be even bigger and better than before with a mighty fine line-up that includes the sensational likes of De La Soul, Seasick Steve, Groove Armada and Roni Size. In addition to the top tuneage, there will also be a special line-up of keynote speakers discussing the most important, fundamental issues affecting UK society today, giving gig goers the chance to vent their spleen on a multitudinous panoply of experiences, ideas and debates.

A festival, Flipside and freebies. Sounds pretty darned good to us.

Tickets for The Downs Festival are £45 - not, of course, forgetting that gives you free access to the intoxicating delights of Flipside Cocktail Club's heady and delicious mixed libations - and can be purchased here.
