Fat Lip's Stars of Summer to play at The Lanes in BristolPosted on: 17 Aug 2017
On Saturday 19th Fat Lip DJs and several local bands will celebrate the end of the summer with cover sets from their favourite bands from this year's festival season.
The last couple of years Fat Lip have ran pre-Reading parties where bands cover their favourite bands on the line-up. "Because this year's festival season was so amazing, we've asked a bunch of bands to come cover bands from all the UK festivals this year," said the organisers on their Facebook page.

SYSTEM OF A DOWN (As Performed by Syren City)
Formed in Bristol, Syren City are a self-proclaimed ‘sassy post-hardcore’ quintet, where members Simon Roach, Ian Chadderton, Harley Watson, Sam Leeworthy and Mat Capper draw their inspirations from Punk, Metal, and Hardcore to create a mesmeric and forceful British Rock sound.
This band have just released a brand new single 'Underperformer' from the new EP 'Monster Under The Bed' due for release early March. Montroze regularly tour, release music with healthy gaps and certifiably put their all into a sound well their own.
They describe their music as "grunge-y sadness with a northern narrative", founded in 2015 the band has many plans going on with a successful EP released a few weeks ago. "The love we've received from our debut EP is overwhelming and for that we'd like to thank you," said recently on their Facebook page.
Other bands included: THE FRONT BOTTOMS (As Performed by Luke Rainsford), NECK DEEP (As Performed by Summoned By Ash).
Malva is studying her Masters degree in journalism at UWE in Bristol. She has fallen in love with the city since she came from her home country, Nicaragua. Interests include movies, books, rock music and a special taste in desserts.
