What went down at UpFest this weekend

UpFest, Europe’s largest Urban Paint festival, took place this weekend, with artists and spectators alike conspiring to give Bedminster a graffiti makeover. Here are our 10 favourite pictures.

Bedminster played host to two of Bristol’s most notable attributes this weekend, as UpFest set up stall: the first was street art; the second, sadly, was the rain. Though torrential at times, the showers that fell paled in insignificance to the flow of quality graffiti from the cans of the 300 artists who descended onto North Street on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

 

With Bedminster transformed into a living, breathing art gallery, we headed down to have a gander. Below are the pick of our 10 favourite pictures from the festival, which span from a new Cheo mural of Morph to John Lennon surveying North Street like T.J. Eckleburg.
