Outdoor cinema to open in Bristol this summer
Posted on: 18 May 2017Dinema, the new Bristol experience combining top-quality dining with an alfresco silver screen, will air three films on consecutive nights between 14th-16th July at the Memorial Stadium.

Anyone who has ever gone to the movies will tell you that the refreshments can often be as exciting as the film itself - and now a new Bristol company are making this fact more apparent than ever before.
Combine dinner (served up by some of the best independent street food distributers in the city) and cinema (showing three of the most iconic movies of the past 50 years), and what do you get? Dinema, an all-new symbiotic celebration of food and film!
Popping up over three evenings between 14th-16th July at The Memorial Stadium, the Dinema open-air cinema will host screenings of a trio of classic films.
On Friday 14th, take a swinging trip back to 1980s Chicago with John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd in the front seats at they play The Blues Brothers.
The following evening, join Danny, Sandy and all of the other T-Birds and Pink Ladies in the closest thing to a drive-in for a screening of Grease – which is still, very definitely, the word.
And completing the trifecta of terrific movies in suitably anarchic fashion is Wayne’s World, the head-banging, guitar-toting adventure of basement rock stars Wayne and Garth. Excellent!
All of these will begin at 7pm on their stated day – other than a family film, which will air before The Blues Brothers at 4pm on the Friday afternoon. The identity of this will be announced shortly.
Accompanying the onscreen entertainment will be food and drink, cooked up by some of Bristol’s best independent vendors, ensuring your evening will taste as good as it looks. Keep for eyes peeled for announcements of participating restaurants.
