Bristol Woof Walk 2017 in aid of Guide Dogs - Saturday 29th July

Posted on: 17 May 2017

The Bristol Woof Walk 2017 will be a huge community event and all in a great cause. Dogs (and owners!) of all shapes and sizes are invited to take part in this wonderful day to raise money for Guide Dogs from 11am until 3pm. The walk itself will be just one part of the festivities...

Guide Dogs - - do some quite remarkable work across the UK and this event is proud to support it. Whilst last year's Bristol Dogs Unite event raised a hugely impressive £2,600, it's a fraction of the £50,000 it takes to fund just ONE guide dog through training and until retirement. These canine superheroes are both figurative and often literal lifesavers so 365Bristol are hoping the community comes out in force to support this great initiative.

The walk will set off from the Just for Pets store in Imperial Park, Hartcliffe. The guys at the store are wonderful hosts and many staff are giving up their time for this. It will leave the park, head through some beautiful adjacent countryside and then return to the park for the finish line. The walk is approximately 1.2 miles which takes 20-30 minutes to walk. There will also be a shorter route for those pups and owners that would prefer it.

What's happening on the day?

  • Goody bags for all participants as a thank you for being Guide Dog Heroes! Contents to be revealed....
