The Downs Festival has announced the details of this year’s event, which will see main stage performances from headliners Elbow, Seasick Steve, De La Soul and Soul II Soul.

The more dance-heavy second stage will be helmed by the likes of Groove Armada, David Rodigan MBE (below) and Bristol-born Roni Size, adding a touch of the local to the festival last year headlined by Massive Attack.

Also performing at last year’s event were Primal Scream and Skepta, with all 27,000 tickets selling out in less than two hours for the first major music event on the Downs in over 15 years.

Tom Paine, co-founder of Team Love, the organisers, commented: “Last year’s festival was one of those events we will never forget and showed that Bristol can accommodate and host an event of this scale. We’ve looked back, reviewed, learnt and we’re now ready to come back with a line-up and event site that makes the most of this all-day festival with more live music, more bars and more independent food.”

Tickets for the bash taking place on Saturday 2nd September, are priced at £50.50 + £2.50 transaction fee (not per ticket) but includes the £1 levy for The Downs. GET TICKETS HERE!
