Idris Elba to play DJ set in Bristol

Posted on: 14 Mar 2017

The actor-turned-disc jockey will play a set at Motion on Saturday 8th April, stepping up to the decks to deliver his crowd-pleasing amalgam of genre-straddling classics.

Idris Elba

Idris Elba is a jack of all trades - but a master of a lot of them too. Celebrated primarily as an actor, thanks to his roles in TV shows Luther and The Wire, which led to turns in films like Prometheus and Mandela, he also is a able rally driver, designer and campaigner, with seemingly no end to the list of capabilities.

His recent endeavours, however, have seen him turn his ear toward the musical in the pursuit of a DJ career, which has proffered feel-good sets from Glastonbury to Ibiza, which incorporate tunes like Madonna's 'Holiday' and 'Kiss' by Prince, which he counts among his favourites.

The latest step on this journey is to bring him to Bristol, where he will play as the guest of Motion on Saturday 8th April. For more information and to buy tickets, head to the skate park’s website.
