Fat Freddy's Drop to Headline Bristol's Love Saves The Day 2017
Posted on: 15 Dec 2016Love, actually, is all around: LSTD have provided us with an early Christmas present in the announcement of the reggae heroes as the first headliners of next year’s festival, which will take place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th May.
On the 15th day of Christmas, our Team Love gave to us… their first headliner for 2017! And who could be better than Fat Freddy’s Drop to top one of the stages on the Sunday evening?
The kiwi reggae outfit have been pumping out the hits for close to two decades, so it seems high time that the septet pay a visit to the Eastville Park bash. They join the ranks of past headliners like Jessie Ware, SBTRKT and Hot Chip, with the remainder of next year’s bill-toppers set to be of this calibre.
While Team Love, the prolific party-throwers behind the festival, have not declared which stage FFD will close out, they have recently announced the stage partners for next year. Hosting line-ups across the weekend will be Just Jack, Crack Magazine, The Blast, Arcadia, Futureboogie and a couple more.
And while we will also have to wait until next year for a complete bill announcement, if previous years are anything to go by it will prove one not to be missed. Last time around, Dizzee Rascal triumphantly headlined a grime-heavy bill which included Stormzy and Section Boyz, while DJs like Motor City Drum Ensemble, Joy Orbison and Ben Klock brought the choicest cuts of deep house and techno to the sun-dappled Eastville Park.
