Carols at The Merchants Arms

Carols at The Merchants Arms

Posted on: 09 Dec 2016

Give your vocal chords their annual dust-off this Sunday (11th December) for the Merchants Arms carol service, where all of your festive favourites will be given a communal sing-song.

Merchants Arms

Buddy the Elf famously had it that "the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear", and he certainly wasn't wrong. Get in on the act with a some carols at the Merchants Arms, where accompaniment will be brassily delivered by the Bristol Brass Consort. The service will begin at 8pm, with all proceeds going to the Trinity Centre.

The pub's setting is very traditional and really befits the Christmassy mood – a roaring open fire gives the place warmth and atmosphere, their wooden beams and wooden floors harking back to more traditional seasonal celebrations.

For inter-song refreshment, the pub boasts a large selection of cask ales, as well as an array of bar snacks including scotch eggs, real potato and meat pasties, hand-raised pork pies and a mixture of freshly made rolls.
