Greg Cordez Quintet - Free Performance at Colston Hall Foyer on Friday 29 July 2016

Posted on: 27 Jul 2016

Contemporary jazz composer and bassist Greg Cordez will put on a free performance this Friday 29 July 2016 from 6.15pm to 7.15pm in the foyer of the Colston Hall in Bristol.

Born in the UK, raised in New Zealand and having worked in New York, Madrid and London, the composer, bassist and educator has now settled in Bristol and has collaborated with an impressive and innovative range of musicians such as Pee Wee Ellis, Huw Warren, Andy Shepherd and Jason Robello.

His cool jazz stylings have been noted for their tight structures and thoughtful compositions, and in 2015 he released his debut album, Paper Crane, which went on to garner much critical adulation.

This is a superb chance to catch an original 60 minute performance by one of the jazz world's finest and most talented musical polymaths - and you won't even have to pay a penny.
