The Bootleg Beatles at Colston Hall in Bristol on 19 December 2017

The Bootleg Beatles will perform at Colston Hall in Bristol on Tuesday 19 December 2017

The Bootleg Beatles are the world’s most famous Beatles Tribute band, and continue to draw critical acclaim from across the globe with their impressive recreation of the greatest songbook of all time. Tracing the Fab Four’s journey through the sixties, every tiny detail is meticulously covered from costumes to authentic period instruments; from their witty ‘Scouse’ banter to their ‘inflection perfect’ vocal mimicry. Complete with  a little help from their orchestral ensemble,  this is a not-to-be-missed spectacular for ‘Beatlemaniacs’ of all ages.

“Mind-boggling accuracy” The Mail on Sunday.

Since their first gig at a small student gathering in Tiverton, Devon in 1980, Bootleg Beatles have drawn a following that spans the globe. During the ’80s they toured to far flung corners such as India and the far East, but it was in the early ’90s when their UK following gathered momentum.

Slowly but surely, audiences grew and the venues got bigger, and in 1994 when headlining the acoustic stage at Glastonbury festival, the band caught the eye of Oasis, who asked them to join their Earl’s Court show, which culminated in a joint performance of ‘I Am The Walrus’. This led to support slots with Rod Stewart, Simple Minds and David Bowie.  Today the group have toured all continents, have played Glastonbury numerous times, performed for the Queen, and graced the cover of NME, cultivating a new contemporary audience into the bargain. They may not be the fab four, but they’ve done what most tribute acts could only dream of.
