Free DIY Art Workshop

What is it to have a good eye? Libita Clayton shares her archive of found material for this session inspired by DIY cultures; let go of preciousness, cut-up, remake and leave with a shiny new thing...a one-off badge!

Libita Clayton is an artist and freelance designer. Her design work employs both manual and digital methods of collage centred on lo-fi punk aesthetics and her art work involves performance based interventions. She will be hosting this superb FREE workshop from 2-6pm and all materials are provided for you!

Libita graduated in 2009 from a BA in Print & Digital Media at Wimbledon School of Art. Since then, she has worked as a creative for Media and Advertising agencies, designed and collaborated on numerous album covers and posters. Libita currently lives in Bristol, her most recent show was The Old Coroners Court a site specific group exhibition held in 2013 at the Coroners Court, Bristol.

These monthly I Am Making Art activity sessions are led by artists and take place in the Spike Island Café. Visitors of all ages and abilities can try out new techniques and approaches to making art, from drawing and painting to collage, sculpture and animation and are invited to drop in any time during the session.
