Legendary live music venue in central Bristol

The Fleece is one of Bristol’s longest-running music venues, and it’s got the legend status to prove it.

The venue gets its name from the building itself: it’s a former Victorian wool hall with a flagstone floor.

In years gone by, The Fleece has seen some of the world’s biggest artists to perform in its 450-capacity gig space; fromRadiohead to Oasis, from Amy Winehouse to Queens of The Stone Age.

It’s a Bristol music institution, and has fought off several threats of closure due to new developments and rising business rates. The Fleece, we hope, is here to stay.

What to expect inside The Fleece

The Fleece hosts a busy schedule of gigs and ever-popular club nights, which tend to focus on indie and alternative music. It also stages a range of professional tribute bands.

Black Parade is one of the venue's regular club nights. The description? "Emo anthems from the 00's."

So, if you're looking to dance around to classic hits with the help of some cheap drinks, The Fleece ought to be your go-to.

The venue is fully accessible, thanks to the venue's massive refurbishment in 2010.
