Home to Bristol Circus Festival 2013

Creative Common is home to the Bristol Circus Festival 2013 which aims to thrill audiences with extraordinary physical stunts, brilliant musical performance and hilarious comedy acts.

The Creative Common project is located upon an area of previously abandoned land close to the famous Temple Meads Train Station. This has now been transformed into a unique performance space thanks to a collaboration between Arts Council England, Bristol City Council and The Invisible Circus.

The nine-month cultural program aims to provide something for every Bristolian whether they be traditional theatre goers, circus enthusiasts or regular families looking for thrilling entertainment. It is one that includes inter-active circus and physical theatre, thought-provoking independent cinema, public art exhibitions, vibrant musical performances, enthusiastic live debates, interviews or speeches and award winning local food and drink.

It is anticipated that the 2013 season will see Creative Common play host to over two hundred and fifty individual artists performing to an estimated one hundred thousand visitors.

The site also features The Goods Yard pop-up venue which serves the very best food and drink the West Country has to offer. It's delights include the full Bristol Beer Factories range, a diverse array of tea by Pukka Herbs, home-made delights from Ping Pong Creations, award winning gin and vodka, cider from the Severn Valley and a draught range from Bath Ales.

Another feature is the Yurt Lush! which is a cafe space made up of three connecting Mongolian yurts to provide space for a bar, kitchen and up to sixty five seated guests. This will be open to March 2014 and one of the offers available is the once-a-month ‘Organic Sunday Lunch’ consisting of a two course Sunday Roast made with locally sourced ingredients. The Yurt Lush! venue is also available for private hire.
