BBL Basketball in Bristol.

The Bristol Flyers are a leading professional basketball club competing in Britain’s top tier, the British Basketball League (BBL). The Flyers play their home fixtures at the SGS Wise Arena.

Formed in the 2006/07 season, The Flyers were established as part of a merger between the old Filton Flyers and the Bristol Basketball Academy, starting life as a new side in the English Basketball League Division 2. Bristol basketball fans oversaw rapid progress, eventually seeing the side break into the British Basketball League in 2014.

The Flyers play their home games at the 750-capacity SGS Wide Arena in Stoke Gifford. Their 2018/19 campaign kicks off with a home fixture against the newly-formed London City Royals on Saturday 29th September - tickets for upcoming matches are on sale now and can be found via the Bristol Sport website.

Managed by Bristol Sport, which includes Bristol City Football Club and Bristol Rugby, the club is also directly linked to the SGS College Basketball Academy - one of the top nationally accredited Basketball Academies in the country.
