Two city centre pubs to take part in nationwide charity initiative

In March, The King Street Brew House and its sister venue, the Prince Street Social will be taking part in the World’s Biggest Pub Quiz - a fundraising initiative organised by PubAid to raise money for charities.

PubAid is a charity working to highlight the charitable work of UK pubs, sharing the message that UK pubs raise over £100m per year and contribute £40 million to grassroots sport.

And what better way to raise money than a pub quiz? Launched in 2016, the PubAid's annual event, World’s Biggest Pub Quiz has since raised a total of £750,000 for charity.

This year, two city centre Bristol pubs, The King Street Brew House and its sister venue, the Prince Street Social, will be taking part in the festivities. Here’s what you need to know.

On Sunday 8 March from 19:00, The King Street Brew House will be hosting its instalment of the World’s Biggest Pub Quiz.

The money raised will support PubAid’s official charity partner, Action Against Hunger, as well as assistance dogs charity Dogs for Good.

It’s just £1 to enter, and the winning team will receive a £100 bar tab.

Armed with its own microbrewery, plus loads of bottles and cans, a £100 bar tab here certainly wouldn’t go to waste. Secure your table on their website.

Can’t make it to the Sunday quiz? No problem. Head over to the Prince Street Social on Wednesday 11 March from 19:00 to take part.

At the Prince Street Social, donations will support Action Against Hunger, as well as homelessness charity Shelter.

Once again, it’ll be just a quid to enter, and the winning team will secure a £50 bar tab.

And don't forget, the Prince Street Social offer a £10 'Burger & a Brew' deal on Wednesdays. That's any of their burgers, plus a pint of beer, cider or soft drink for just a tenner! It's a no brainer, really.

Head over to their website to secure your table now.
