This Week: Balter Festival returns to Chepstow Racecourse

Balter’s opening day is just around the corner, and final tier tickets are running low for the multi-stage festival with Sunday only and early entry on Thursday still available.
Running between Thursday 19 and Sunday 22 May, Balter Festival is returning to its home at the racecourse for the first time since 2019 – complete with its signature blend of electronic music and offbeat activities.
Second-tier entry tickets are long sold out, but final tier weekend tickets are still available for £150. Thursday entry tickets (allowing attendees to set up tents etc) and Sunday only tickets can also be purchased.

Now in its seventh year, Balter organisers have once again delivered a diverse selection of artists – ranging from DJs to live acts and everything in between. The festival is spearheaded by 90s rave stalwarts Squarepusher, returning after a stint out of the game to present a mix of classic and brand-new material.
Eurodance superstars Vengaboys (pictured below) will be providing another dose of 1990s dance anthems to Chepstow Racecourse. Known for smash hits ‘Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!’, ‘We’re Going to Ibiza’ and ‘We Like to Party!’, the Dutch group are sure to prove a popular act this weekend.
Another weekend highlight will be fellow Dutch duo NOISIA’s record label, VISION, taking over one of the stages. The VISION stage sees the likes of Camo & Krooked, DJ Hazard and Buunshin b2b The Caracal Project all take to the decks initiating a true party atmosphere.
Other artists to look out for include renowned ragga/Jungle DJ General Levy and Bristol-based rapper, multi-instrumentalist, and poet Dizraeli. There are also a number of mad, non-music highlights to look forward to such as hidden art installations, pop-up performances and inventive forms of bingo.
With Balter 2022 taking place later this week (Thursday 19 till Sunday 22 May), tickets are flying out the door. Weekend and Sunday tickets are still available to purchase from the festival website.
