Suncraft to reopen for takeaway

Posted on: 12 Jun 2020

The popular plant-based and gluten free eatery returns next week.

Suncraft on Gloucester Road has said it will reopen for take-out orders next week, on Thursday 18 June.

Following increased lockdown measures in March, Suncraft closed its doors.

In the meantime, staff of the plant-based eatery pitched in with the Bristol Food Union’s Feed the Frontline campaign.

The campaign worked to feed the city’s key workers and community groups during the lockdown.

The campaign helped to deliver over 11,000 meals to frontline workers, and helped to cook over 50,000 meals for homeless people in Bristol:

Now the Suncraft team are preparing for the restaurant’s return next week.

Suncraft said on Twitter that they've been honoured to cook for key workers and community groups, and will continue to support the project:

Suncraft first opened in 2018, and has since become a favourite with Bristol's vegan food fans.

Suncraft's usual menu boasts freshly made, health-conscious grub, seasonally-changing dishes, pressed juices and more.

The resturant also has an in-house hydroponics system for growing ingredients such as Egyptian mint, pak choi and edible flowers.

It's run by the people behind bar and live music venue The Gallimaufry, which is located just across the road.

Further information on Suncraft’s reopening, including opening times and menu options, is yet to be announced, so check back for updates.
