Kasabian is one of the UK’s biggest and best bands, back with an explosive new album, Happenings, 20 years after their debut eponymously named record, which announced the Leicester outfit’s exciting brand of rock n roll to the world.

Amid an ever-churning vista of disappearing messages and vanishing modes, one place Kasabian have always enjoyed a connection is onstage, during those communal moments when band and audience rise as one.

It is this bond that offers the guiding spirit behind the band’s eighth album, inspiring Sergio Pizzorno (vocals, guitar, keyboard), Chris Edwards (bass, vocals), Ian Matthews (drums) and Tim Carter (guitar) to make a record that embraces visceral excitement and the unpredictability of live music.

This connection will be felt on the band’s upcoming tour and inspired the album’s title with Kasabian keen to incorporate elements of the late 50s ‘happenings’ that took art out of the galleries, onto the streets and into their famous live shows.

Kasabian will celebrate the release of their upcoming album, Happenings, with shows in Edinburgh, Leicester, Bristol and Bournemouth. Visit the band’s website for more information.
