Our farmyard animals and their keepers love strolls around the park during The Festival of Light! We'll just be careful to keep them away from George's medicine... We wouldn't want any ginormous growth spurts or shrinkages! pic.twitter.com/0HtmvaORc6

Running since early November, The Wondrous Worlds of Roald Dahl has already attracted visitors from throughout the South West, all eager to see the fantastic light show.
Visitors can embark on an extraordinary journey and even meet all the best-loved characters from Roald Dahl’s stories. Throughout the park, lantern scenes depict some of the most memorable moments from the iconic books.
The BFG, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Matilda, The Twits and Fantastic Mr Fox are all brought to life in this stunning spectacle. Attendees can marvel at the 5-metre-tall depiction of the BFG and journey through the gates of Willy Wonka’s famous factory – making sure they don’t do an Augustus Gloop once inside.
James' Giant Peach also makes an appearance along with George’s Marvellous Medicine and little Matilda and her friend Miss Honey. The Festival of Light uses hundreds of lanterns across over 30 acres of splendid, landscaped grounds.
The stunning scene can be best enjoyed as, and after, the winter sunsets, transforming Longleat into a breathtaking world of illumination and magical children’s stories. Twilight tickets can be found here.
It’s not only The Wondrous Worlds of Roald Dahl that will be wowing families at Longleat this festive period, Britain’s biggest singing Christmas tree will also be returning to the Stable Yard with shows every 20 minutes from 4:30 PM until 6:50 PM.
The Festival of Light all-in-one ticket allows visitors to experience the festival itself, the Enchanted Christmas Tree Show, a Winter Safari Drive-Through and on-foot animal attractions as well as main square adventure attractions. Find out more here.
