Pioneers of progressive rock, YES have achieved worldwide success with a history spanning 45 years and over 20 studio albums. Formed in 1968, the band achieved fame in the early 70s with their progressive style, and became known for their mystical and cosmic lyrics and expansive compositions, with complex arrangements, as well as their elaborated album art and live stage sets. Nearly half a century later, the band are still going strong, and released their twenty first studio album in 2014.
The band’s current line-up consists of singer Jon Davison, guitarist Steve Howe, drummer Alan White, and keyboardist Geoff Downes. Bassist Billy Sherwood became a permanent member of the band since co-founder Chris Squire’s sad death in 2015. YES alumni are Jon Anderson, Rick Wakeman, Bill Bruford, Trevor Horn, Trevor Rabin, Tony Kaye, Peter Banks, Patrick Moraz, Benoit David, Oliver Wakeman, Igor Khoroshev and Tom Brislin.
