Enjoy the festivities at Bristol's best Irish pub

St Patrick’s Day 2017 -  once again people across the world will take to the pubs and bars of their town and Bristol will be no different. Naturally our premier Irish pub Seamus O’Donnell’s will be at the heart of the celebrations.

Seamus O'Donnells in Bristol

It's one of the most successful cultural exports and is celebrated by the Irish and people of genuine Irish heritage, but it's a great reason to celebrate Irish traditions and stir up a real party atmosphere in many of the city's fine drinking establishments. The customary Guinness hats will no doubt be out in force around our fair streets and many will have that once yearly pint of the black-stuff sipped ever so slowly as they remember just why it’s a once a year occurrence.

Naturally, Seamus O’Donnells will be at the literal and figurative heart of the celebrations. Located slap-bang in the middle of all the great Bristol venues, it’s the perfect option to stop in for a drink or two. Obviously they serve up a great pint of Guinness and have a great selection of whiskeys from the Emerald Isle, but the more foolhardy amongst you might be interested to know they also offer ‘Poteen’.This  Irish Moonshine is a 70% ABV triple distilled spirit – which is so strong that it is limited to one shot per customer - and you can't get this in any other bar in Bristol! Traditionally made from either potatoes or grain, the production of Poteen was outlawed in 1661, and remained illegal until the late 1990s.
