Act 1.5 - Climate Action Accelerator with Killer Mike, Lankum and more
Trip-hop icons Massive Attack return to their hometown for their first live Bristol show in 5 years. The local legends will be joined at this unprecedented event with a slew of special guests, namely: contemporary rap icon Killer Mike, drone-laden folk pioneers Lankum, actress and singer-songwriter Sam Morton, and Wild Bunch pioneer, DJ MILO.
Taking place on Sunday 25 August on Clifton Downs, this event promises to be the lowest carbon show of its size ever staged. Marking the culmination of 25 years of climate activism on the part of the band, and the first physical fruition of their collaboration with climate scientists and analysts from the renowned Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, including Massive Attack’s commissioning of the only Paris 1.5 compatible roadmap for decarbonisation of the live music sector.
Kicking off at 2pm, featuring a stacked lineup throughout the day, the show also has a dedicated talk area in partnership with Novara Media, featuring panel discussions and guest speakers. The event will also feature a field studio, where attendees can get their hands on one-off limited edition signed and hand-finished prints and t-shirts, with all profits going to Doctors Without Borders.
